COME JOIN THE GENBUKAN SUIRIN DOJO CHILDRENS' CLASSES

....for an exciting and challenging journey.

A martial art should be more than just learning how to punch and kick.

We offer much, much more.

  • Our classes are a lot of FUN. Fun ninja games which encourage children to use what they have learned and apply it as part of a team or individually.

  • They will learn techniques and strategies of the ancient Samurai and shadow warriors of Japan

  • SYLLABUS: Students follow the authentic Ninpo Taijutsu programme of study, perfecting techniques on which they will be graded. Aside from their physical ability, children will develop the following key skills: Goal setting, determination and attentiveness

  • WEAPONS: Students learn to respect and master the weapons used by the Samurai and Ninja. These include the Bokken (wooden training sword), Rokushakubo (6ft Staff) and Hanbo (3ft staff). They will learn how to correctly hold, move, block and strike with each weapon. This will develop their focus, patience and self-control

  • SELF-DEFENCE: The students will regularly review the theory of self-defence and it's practical application. This covers a range of techniques for situations such as walking to and from school, self-defence and its legal implications, "flight or fight" response, amongst many others.
